With Instructor John Burns MS, PT, Lac
Are John Burns is a fitness and agility trainer that has developed a very comprehensive program that includes technique training, functional flexibility and strength training, as well as mind-body exercises such as Tai Chi and Yoga for enhancing dynamic balance and coordination. Participants are encouraged to attend all three training sessions as a buildup to the American Birkebeiner Ski Race.
These sessions will include:
- Flexibility training (tao-wll/yoga)
- Coordination and balance training (tai chi F.I.T. program)
- XC Ski Specific technique strategies using flexibility, coordination and balance principles
- XC Ski Specific Max-Strength training (F.I.S.T. focused intensive strength training program)
- XC Ski Specific Endurance/Interval Training
- General strength training of Core/Upper/Lower Body
- Self-Care Recovery Methods (acupressure, acussage, therapeutic stretching with Tao-Well Rehab-Well Program)
