Dogwood Basketry
June 11 & June 12
Participants will make a frame basket with a handle from red osier dogwood with instructor Tina Fung Holder at the Museum on Friday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Participants must provide their own bag lunch. Solar Energy
June 21
Do you want to "get off the grid" or simply reduce your fossil fuel dependence using clean solar power? If so, this workshop is for you. John Uffenbeck will explain what makes a solar panel work and how solar energy can generate power in a residential setting. Discover how these systems are becoming increasingly affordable. Take a field trip to see how solar panels are used in an off-grid setting at a small cabin. Archeology

Archeology is fun, but serious and hard work! Digging, discovery and the determination of prehistory is what archeology is all about. Participants will be introduced to the basic methods and techniques of field archeology, laboratory procedures for the identification and interpretation of artifact assemblages, and the preservation and presentation of artifacts as historical data.
