Family Fun: Land Snails
Are snails really slimy? Families of all ages can learn all about snails that live in our backyards with scientist, Eric North. Meet at the Forest Lodge Nature Trail located at 22305 Garmisch Rd. at 10:00 a.m. and return by Noon. Donations accepted.

Make a Splash! Read! A Tom Pease Performance
Get ready to sing and laugh! Join the Forest Lodge Library as they wrap up their "Make A Splash! Read!" summer program with a special performance by Tom Pease. Tom has been entertaining kids and their families for over 25 years and he's bound to make waves on this return trip to the area. His programs are "participatory" and celebrate themes such as reading, nature, families, and the joy of laughter and movement. Grab a lawn chair or a blanket and surf on over! This special program is presented in partnership with the Telemark Educational Foundation and the Forest Lodge Library.

Family Fun: Skin & Scales
Salamanders, frogs, and toads… oh my! Take your family on a hike through the fields, forests, and waterways in search of live specimens and learn more about these amphibious creatures. Meet a Museum naturalist at the Forest Lodge Nature Trail located at 22305 Garmisch Road at 1:00 p.m. to begin your adventure. Donations accepted.

Louie the Voyageur
Visit with Ron Hobart, "Louie the Voyageur", during this interactive program about Voyageurs. Learn the songs of the Voyageurs and hear stories of yesteryear. Meet at the Museum at 6:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair. Dress for an outdoor program. The program will be held indoors if there is inclement weather

Family Fun: Wilderness First Aid
You won't need a prescription to register for this class. Help your child learn the basics of first aid through instruction, games, and activities. Learn how to treat poison ivy, soothe a bee sting, remove a wood tick, clean a small wound, and make an improvised splint. Each family will create their own first aid kit from provided supplies. Meet at the Museum at 1:00 p.m. Medical supplies have been donated by Fogarty Surgical Services and Family Care Clinic of Cable. Donations accepted.
